If you will be in New Haven this summer
researching, studying, or just seeing the sights,
join the Summer Buds family
where you will be paired with a rising 4th - 6th grader
from one of three New Haven public middle schools
as a reading tutor and mentor for
an hour and a half, two nights each week.
Be a role model. Change a kids life. Inspire them to read.
No experience necessary.
The program runs every Tuesday and Thursday night, 5:30-7:00PM, from June 3 - July 24th
and meets in the Joseph Slifka Center, located at 80 Wall Street. Summer Buds also hosts field trips,
field days, movie nights, tutor wine & cheese parties, and many other activities for our community.
While preferred, no prior tutoring experience is necessary- only enthusiasm, dedication, & reliability.
There are also many other part-time opportunities available
if you aren't free both nights or for part of the summer.
