Herbert Ames Cahoon, Jr., social worker, community activist, mentor of students at Dwight Hall at Yale and long-time Director of Yale Volunteer Services, died August 18, 2008 at his home in Woodbridge, CT at 91 years of age. Congratulations to Mr. John Hecht '86, our 2008 Dwight Hall Raffle Winner!
Mr. Hecht purchased his winning ticket through the Dwight Hall website after seeing a posting on the website for the Yale Alumni Association of Metropolitan New York. Thank you to all who participated in this year's raffle, which generated over $21,500 of revenue for Dwight Hall. Mr. Hecht works for the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, New York and we wish for a safe and relaxing trip for him and his family. See what he won...
DWIGHT HALL NAMES ALEX KNOPP AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dwight Hall at Yale the Center for Public Service and Social Justice announced the appointment of Alex Knopp, Esq. as the organizations new Executive Director and General Secretary on April 24, 2008.
