Sections:Service and Opportunities

Camp Carefree is a free summer camp in North Carolina that gives kids with chronic illnesses a chance to have the outdoorsy summer camp experience, including horseback riding, archery, fishing, swimming, etc.  The camp is operated on a not-for-profit basis, employs an all-volunteer staff, and is set on hundreds of acres of donated farmland outside of Greensboro.  There are week-long camp sessions for kids with Spina Bifida, Cancer, Epilepsy and other Neurological disorders, Hemophilia & Turner Syndrome, Siblings of chronically ill children, and children of chronically ill parents.  Applying for this summer may still be possible, depending on your week of interest, and is definitely possible for next summer.  Please contact Adam Green ( This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript ) for information and applications.
